Through its creations, Homata seeks to share the emotion of a unique, imperfect, handmade piece. Design is a way of perpetuating and enhancing exceptional skills from elsewhere to give birth to contemporary objects with a genuine soul, embellished by a mastery of craftsmanship tamed by the unexpected and by the choice of natural, local materials.
Betty Scotté draws her inspiration from abstract art, organic forms living by themselves without any representation of reality. For the simple beauty of lines and movement. All the designs in the Koziel X Homata collection are originally hand-painted by Betty Scotté herself.
